For those who hoped that Divine Divinity will have the same gameplay as Diablo or to be just a Diablo clone, bad news..

It is not really like Diablo, but you also can`t say it is Baldur`s Gate, wich in my case represents a good thing from the beggining. Through all those great Rpg games released these years (like most people would say), was very hard for me to be contented and motivated by a new rpg, but, then something happened.

For those who played at least some weeks Diablo, and also had the patience to loose their precious time in the intrigues from Baldur`s Gate, or for those who wanted a classic rpg but something based on action gameplay, complex sometimes, very captivating other times, build in an heroic-fantasy universe wich altrough uses the laws of Tolkien (there are many details and quests wich belongs to the Lord of the Rings universe)... seems more like having the action from the "Wheel of Time", writen by Robert Jordan, then you can bet on Divine Divinity, it is not excluded that you will like it.

A Diablo clone? No way, even if after a few hours of playing you will think it is. Even if the dungeons atmosphere really feels like the one from Diablo, even if the skill tree looks the same, nothing is more than false. Divine Divinity is much more complex, more ambiguous and surprising, having a wonderful story wich, even if is not original, it is. But the most important thing is the athmosphere wich turns Divine Divinity from an rpg into a classic rpg.

The world from the game is immense, towns, castles, villages, dungeons, cripts, etc, quests, speedrun videos, you will soon be lost through them. The officials from Larian told that you will need 200 hours to finish the game, I whould say 400 is more realistic. In other words, patience and heads up!

One of the best rpgs in the last years (decades).
